The nine-strong group will in the new year launch Yolk BrewClub, a coffee and barista-made drink subscription that can be redeemed across its hot drinks menu, including its seasonal offerings such as a Salted Popcorn Hot Chocolate; Terry’s Chocolate Orange Latte; White Choc & Ginger Matcha; and Cinnamon Roll Latte.
The subscription is tiered into three levels – BasicBrew, ClassicBrew and PremierBrew – rising from a free subscription to one that costs £40 a month.
BasicBrew members receive a free coffee on signup and collect loyalty points, so they get every tenth barista-made drink for free. They can also earn points on everything else bought in store that can be swapped for menu items.
ClassicBrew membership is priced at £10 per month (£1 for the first month) with members receiving 50% off all barista-made drinks and double loyalty points on orders after 2pm.
The top tier is the PremierBrew membership, priced at £40 per month (the first month is half price), which provides three free barista-made drinks per day plus double loyalty points to swap for menu items, all day every day.
The move follows subscription models offered by Pret and Manger and Leon, which offer members a set number of free drinks and discount on food each day. In Leon’s case, its Roast Rewards gives subscribers up to five barista-made drinks a day along with a 20% discount on its breakfast and all-day food menu for £25 a month.
Yolk BrewClub will go live on Monday 6 January.
