Luke Taylor has opened a second Cornish site of his burger restaurant Native Burger.

Dubbed Native Burger 2.0, the Bodmin restaurant is larger than the Launceston original, where delivery is a focus, and has 46 covers inside and a terrace that can hold the same number of covers again.

Taylor, who is head of operations at Philip Warren Butchers, opened the first Native in Launceston in July last year in the company’s former butcher shop. His intention with the brand is to bring high-quality food and a community focus to Cornwall’s historic towns.

The menu features an expansive list of burgers starting at just £7 and also includes fried chicken and loaded fries.

Signature dishes include The Workout, made with a double beef patty, pulled beef brisket, bacon crumb, lettuce, Native BBQ sauce, and mayo; Twisted Fire Starter, comprising a beef patty, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, jalapeño, onion, and sriracha mayo; and Tequila Slammer, which pairs barbacoa pulled beef with a beef patty, pickled red onion, Cornish slaw, and chipotle tequila mayo.

For chicken lovers, there is the BBQ Bacon & Chickin made with buttermilk chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese, crispy onions, lettuce, and Native BBQ sauce. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.

On the drinks side there are milkshakes in classic flavours, homemade lemonades, draft lagers and ciders, including Native’s own pilsner, and cocktails such as the Frozen Pineapple Daiquiri and the Raspberry Mojito.
