Piotrowski, who won the competition in 2012, made a name for himself when he won a Michelin Star at the Treby Arms in Sparkwell, Devon, where he worked from 2012 to 2017. He later moved to head up the kitchen at The Springer Spaniel in Treburley, Cornwall, before becoming executive chef at luxury boutique hotel Glaizebrook House.
He then opened his debut restaurant Roski in Liverpool in 2017, which he ran for seven years until it closed in 2024.
“I can’t wait to join the team at the Rising Sun, I’ve always loved this quirky 14th century inn,” says Piotrowski.
“I’m looking forward to working with the amazing suppliers in the area to source the finest ingredients from the sea and Exmoor and really put the Rising Sun on the map.”
The Rising Sun is a 14th century thatched hotel and restaurant located on Lynmouth’s historic harbourside. As well as having 14 bedrooms there is a Shelly’s cottage, named after the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who honeymooned there with his spouse and three luxury suites will be added in the Summer,
