Slim Chickens will launch a prime site in Leicester Square next month, one of two new London openings announced by the Boparan Restaurant Group-operated fried chicken chain.

The American fast-casual brand will open a 125-cover site at 14 Leicester Square in four weeks’ time, with a 90-cover site on Edgeware Road set to launch around the same time.

The two openings will bring Slim Chickens’s UK estate to 66 sites.

“We’re thrilled to bring Slim Chickens to Leicester Square and Edgeware Road in just four weeks,” says Ben Blore, head of operations at Slim Chickens

“Our team has been dedicated to making sure every guest experiences our fresh, cooked-to-order chicken and authentic Southern hospitality at its finest.”

To mark the double opening, Slim Chickens will be handing out 5,000 Golden Tickets to its first customers, offering a chance to win rewards including a grand prize of free Slim Chickens for a year!

Each ticket guarantees a prize, from 10% and 20% discounts on future orders to free shakes and meals.

Boparan, which also operates Giraffe and Ed’s Easy Diner, struck a franchise deal with Slim Chickens USA to bring Slim Chickens to the UK market in 2018.

The brand was originally launched in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2003 by Tom Gordon and Greg Smart and has grown to nearly 200 sites across the US.

The menu is focused on the brand’s signature hand-breaded buttermilk marinated chicken tenders which are served alongside fifteen different dipping sauces.
