The competitive socialising group, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, will open a new Electric Shuffle at King’s Cross in London this year, its third site under the brand in the capital.
Red Engine will also make its debut in Northeast later this year with the opening of Flight Club Newcastle.
It follows a ‘record breaking’ performance in Q4 2024, which saw sales totalling £25.3m, a 24% increase compared to £20.4m for the same period in 2023.
Like-for-like sales, excluding 2024 venue openings, grew by 3%.
“We are thrilled to report such strong Q4 results, especially as we enter this milestone year celebrating a decade of [Flight Club],” says Ross Shepley-Smith, CFO at Red Engine.
“This past year has presented significant challenges for the hospitality sector, making these results all the more rewarding and underlining the strength and resilience of our brands.”
As well as new UK locations, the group is looking to further grow its international footprint this year with additional openings in the US, Australia and Ireland through its franchise partners. They include new Flight Club locations in Philadelphia and Sydney, as well as an Electric Shuffle in Chicago.
By the end of the year, Red Engine is targeting a portfolio of 39 sites including six new Flight Club locations and two new Electric Shuffle venues, up from 31 sites at the end of 2024.
Red Engine’s sales combined with its franchise partners reached £38.4m in Q4 2024, up 23% year-on-year, with like-for-like sales increasing by 4%.
“It brings us immense pride to bring joy to others through our social experiences, and we look forward to the opportunity to spread that joy even further in the year ahead as we take our brands to new cities across the globe in 2025,” continues Shepley-Smith.
“This success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible teams including our great franchise partners, and we are so grateful for the support of our loyal community, who continue to embrace the unique fun that Flight Club and Electric Shuffle offer.”
