Set within a Grade-II listed 19th century arcade, Cafe Linea will serve ‘produce-led, modern classics and elevated comfort food’.
The all-day a la carte will include the likes of ricotta dumplings with mushrooms; and a curried chicken pie for two to share.
Alongside a la carte there will be morning pastries, miniature cakes and patisserie produced by the onsite bakery and pastry kitchen.
There will also be a menu of ‘inventive’ bar snacks.
The kitchen will be run by chef partner Carolina Ferpozzi, who is originally from Argentina and has worked alongside top South American chefs including Fernando Trocca and Narda Lepes
Front of house, meanwhile, will be overseen by general manager and partner Steven Mason, whose CV includes Oxfordshire’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and the three Michelin-starred Odette in Singapore.
Cafe Linea’s drinks offering will include a ‘dynamic’ wine list specialising in small ‘innovative’ Old-World producers, including a large range of sparkling and sweet wines designed to complement the bakery side of the operation.
Situated next to the Saatchi Gallery, Cafe Linea’s interiors have been designed by Dion & Arles, which is also behind Chiltern Firehouse, Dovetale and The Standard, London.
The space will blend historic features, including vaulted ceilings and arched alcoves, with a ‘modern, yet warm and timeless aesthetic’.
There will be a large terrace that looks onto Duke of York Square ‘provide the perfect space for alfresco dining and drinking in Chelsea’.
