The brothers are part of the family behind famed Turkish chocolatier Pelit which operates over 30 chocolate shops in Istanbul as well as a chocolate museum.
Naya will offer ‘an oasis of intimate luxury and decadent flavours’ serving a range of baked goods, chocolates and drinks to eat in and takeaway.
Sweet options will include chocolate eclairs, Basque cheesecake; and magnolia pudding.
Savoury options, meanwhile, will include a lobster roll and a bresaola sandwich.
The drinks offering will be centered on barista-brewed coffee, premium teas and wines from France and Italy.
The space has been designed by India Hicks and Anna Goulandris with design details including a tree in the centre of the space, open bakery countertops; bespoke wallpaper from de Gournay; warm tones, soft fabrics and a ‘touch of leopard’.
“Our family started in the chocolate business back in 1957, so opening Naya in London felt like a calling for my brother and I,” Can says.
“We wanted to create an experience that bridges the old and the new, showcasing our rich family traditions, whilst sparking curiosity with modern elements. We are delighted to bring this new concept to London, using the recipes that have been passed down through our family for generations.”
