Andrew Dax’s Queen Park restaurant LULA will relaunch as Spanish-Greek restaurant PYRÃ later this week (19 February).

The restaurant will ‘further ignite’ the increasingly trendy north west London neighbourhood’s dining scene ‘bringing a fresh take on Mediterranean cuisine’ by blending ‘fire-grilled specialties with tapas-style sharing plates’ in a ‘warm, stylish setting’.

The kitchen will be led by head chef Mattia Caddeo, whose CV includes The Arts Club Mayfair, The Ivy Collection, San Carlo Group, Alyn Williams at the Westbury and - most recently - Italian restaurant Salotto 31.

Dishes will include shoulder of Pyrenean lamb; grilled octopus skewers; Iberico charcuterie; veal chop on the bone with a rosemary crust; paella arancini; stuffed peppers; and deconstructed lamb or chicken gyros.

There will also be a number of sharing dishes including whole leg of lamb; whole sea bass baked in salt; and Galician rib eye on the bone.

Desserts will include Ferrero Rocher baklava and a Basque cheesecake for two to share.

There will be an ‘extensive’ wine list that is focused on Greek and Spanish wines and a ‘classic’ cocktail list.

Towards the end of the month the venue will be augmented with The Loft, an upstairs space focused on vinyl records, wine and cocktails that will also be used for private events.

Dax is best known in the industry for founding short-lived Marylebone restaurant Chameleon in 2021.

He launched LULA in 2023, installing former Top Chef contestant and owner of Brussels bistro La Guinguette en Ville Paul Delrez behind the stove.
