Set to open early next month, Reemies will offer Abusamra’s famous Banana Bundt alongside a wide selection of other bakery items and coffee.
Founded in 2018 by Reem, affectionately known as ‘Reemie’, the bakery currently retails its products online and via Deliveroo.
Other signature items on offer at the bakery will include Mum’s Carrot Cake, Chocolate Fudge Cake and Maple Pecan Pie.
With its vibrant pink and red exterior, and signature banana signage, the bakery will ‘exude Reem’s quirk and creativity’.
Design details will include a soft pastel yellow and pink colour palette; neon signage; and a bakery counter piled high with cakes.
There will be seating for three customers at the dining bar, atop three bundt-shaped stools.
“Opening our first bakery has been more than a dream come true for me, I live and breathe this business and our cakes. For as long as I can remember I have been feeding my banana cake to friends and family. I love that I am still doing that now,” Abusamra says.
“Quality, taste and fun have always been at the forefront of everything we do here at Reemies, and I can’t wait for people to be able to pop in, try a bite (or three) and taste a little bit of the magic!”
