Pasta-specialist Emilia’s has secured a site in Victoria for what will be its fifth restaurant in the capital and its largest to date.

Billed as the group’s new flagship, Emilia’s Victoria will seat 100 diners in total: 70 inside across two floors and a further 30 outside.

In a reference to nearby Victoria Station, the design will take inspiration from early 20th century café and trattorias in and around Italian stations.

Design details will include Murano glass chandeliers, terrazzo wall details, Venetian plaster, and deep oak tones creating an ‘elegant-yet-rustic’ feel’.

As with all Emilia’s locations, Victoria will feature a fully open kitchen with counter seating.

There will also be a pasta-making station visible from the outside.

The Victoria menu will offer all of Emilia’s signature pasta dishes, including casarecce truffled cacio e pepe; and pappardelle béchamel Bolognese.

“We’re thrilled to open our fifth Emilia’s restaurant in vibrant Victoria - our largest and most ambitious restaurant to date,” says Emilia’s founder and CEO Andrew Macleod.

“Following our success in East London, the City, Canary Wharf, and Baker Street, this flagship marks a major milestone.”

“We’re committed to making fresh, comforting pasta with 100% natural ingredients affordable for everyone. With this new central London location, we take another step towards continuing our mission to become the UK’s favourite pasta brand for the next generation.”

Macleod left behind a successful career in the poker business to launch Emilia’s Crafted Pasta in 2016.

The group currently operates restaurants in Aldgate, St. Katharine Docks, Canary Wharf and Marylebone.

Last year, Emilia’s Crafted Pasta launched a premium dried pasta range.

Emilia’s Victoria is expected to open this summer.
