Carlotta
Big Mamma Group’s fifth London restaurant project, Carlotta is an ashamedly plush venue with its golden drapes, soft suede ceiling and Venetian marble cocktail bar. Expect a menu inspired by Neapolitan and Sicilian classics with a ‘retro Italian-American twist’. Like the group’s other ventures in the capital – which include Gloria, Ave Mario and Circolo Popolare – many of the dishes here are served family style.

Alley Cats Pizza
Alley Cats Pizza joins a relatively small number of restaurants flying the flag for authentic New York pizza. Launched last year by the team behind Chotto Matte and Angus Steakhouse, the 50-cover restaurant offers 14-inch pies with options including Pepperoni (aged mozzarella, smoked pepperoni, habanero and honey); and Vodka (buffalo mozzarella and cream tomato sauce with vodka). The concept has been a big success, so much so that a second Alley Cats Pizza launched in Chelsea late last year.

Santo Remedio Marylebone
The third (well fourth if you count their original site in Shoreditch) restaurant outing for husband and wife duo Edson and Natalie Diaz-Fuentes, Santo Remedio Marylebone and is the group’s largest to date. Billed as a casona and cantina, the space evokes the old colonial houses of Mexico and offers a menu of bracingly-authentic regional cuisine alongside a Tequila and Mezcal-led drinks list.
