Three Cheers Pub Co will open the first new public house on Chelsea’s King’s Road in more than 100 years.

The pub group, which is run by Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds and Nick Fox, has secured the lease on a site in King’s Road for what will be its tenth site when it opens this autumn.

Formerly a bank, the two-storey building, which was built in 1909 and designed by Reginald Blomfield, will become The Trafalgar Public House following a £2.4m investment.

The pub takes its name from a previous site located nearby on King’s Road of the same name.

“We are delighted to be taking on this historic site and creating a wonderful new public house, a home from home for Chelsea locals and visitors alike,” says Peake.

“We look forward to bringing a real sense of community and connection to the area that only a proper British pub can.”

The Trafalgar will join the group’s growing portfolio of neighbourhood pubs across south and west London, including The Bedford in Balham, The Bolingbroke in Battersea, and The Abbeville in Clapham.
