Announcing the news on Instagram Owen said: “Farewell St Enodoc. Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this journey with me, old and present.
“Best of luck to all who journey on in the hotels new chapter under the Ainsworth collection.”
Owen joined St Enodoc in 2020 as its executive chef having previously cooked at nearby Idle Rocks in St Mawes, Cornwall.
At the start of the year the boutique hotel, located in Rock in Cornwall, was bought bv Paul and Emma Ainsworth. At the time the pair said they had no immediate plans to change the style of the hotel, which operates The St Enodoc Brasserie and had a separate dining space called Karrek, which Owen previously oversaw but which is no longer open.
In the post Owen thanked the hotel’s new owners Paul and Emma Ainsworth as well as director of operations at The Ainsworth Collection Paul Dodd, Chelsea Roper, The Ainsworth Collection’s COO, and John Walton, group culinary director.
“Onto the next chapter,” he added. “I’ll be back, but with bells on. Keep fighting the good fight everyone.”
