Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams are to relocate their London-based, South African-inspired restaurant group Kudu from Peckham to Marylebone in September.

The husband-and-wife team have taken over the Aubaine site on the corner of Moxon Street and Cramer Street for a restaurant that will bring together their three concepts – restaurants Kudu and Kudu Grill, and private dining and events space Curious Kudu – under one roof.

Announcing the move on Instagram, the pair said: “We are beyond excited to officially announce that after eight wonderful years in Peckham, the Kudu sites will be relocating to a new home in Marylebone this September.

“The new restaurant will bring our three sites together under one roof, marking an exciting new chapter for our company.

“The site will feature brand-new dishes alongside standout favourites from both Kudu and Kudu Grill as well as a private dining room and bar area.”

Corbin and Williams launched Kudu on Queen’s Road in Peckham in 2018.

The restaurant proved popular (David Sexton and Giles Coren both wrote glowing reviews in the Evening Standard and The Times, respectively) and was soon awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

It has also featured on the National Restaurant Awards Top 100 list.

In 2021 the pair opened Curious Kudu close by to their original restaurant, and Kudu Grill on the former Babette site on Nunhead Lane.

Corbin and Williams also previously operated a bar called Smokey Kudu, which launched in Peckham in 2020 and relocated to Chelsea in 2023 before eventually closing.

The original Smokey Kudu site, housed under the arches by Queen’s Road station, subsequently relaunched as restaurant concept Little Kudu, which announced its closure at the end of last year as a result of the planned move to Marylebone.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the Peckham and Nunhead community and to our wonderfully loyal customers for their support over the years, and for helping shape Kudu into what it is today,” Corbin and Williams added.

“We hope we can bring them along the journey with us for our next chapter in Marylebone!”

Both Kudu and Kudu Grill will be offering a limited-edition ‘best of Kudu’ menu throughout July and August, ahead of their closure.
