Launched in Paris in 2019 by restaurateurs Nina and Alexis Melikov (the latter is pictured above), the upscale Latin American styled restaurant brand operates nine locations in France and a further site in Brussels.
Tigermilk– which takes its name from the marinade used in ceviche – is being billed as a cliché-free love letter to the region that serves dishes that are ‘generous, festive, and precisely seasoned’.
Dishes from the menu – which is described as being ‘designed for indulgence, not restraint’ – include chipotle-marinated T-bone; cochinita pibil tacos; dorade ceviche with strawberries; rocoto-glazed lamb shoulder; and tableside-prepared guacamole.
The dessert menu includes a passionfruit tiramisu, and an ‘obscenely good’ dulce de leche cheesecake.
There will be 250 bottles of tequila and mezcal to choose from, as well as a wine list that spotlights independent producers from France and South America.
Cocktails include a hibiscus margarita and the Tigermilk Spritz, which is made with yuzu and pink grapefruit.
Set across two floors, the site has been designed by Tigermilk’s in-house creative team, Studio Leche, in collaboration with Soho House interiors alumnus Christie Ward.
The design takes its cues from the faded grandeur of the old estates around the Mexican city of Cuernavaca.
Design details include white and red marble floors, mirrored ceilings, a large open kitchen and cascades of tropical greenery.
Tigermilk launches on 12 June.
