A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed the opening to Restaurant.
Bleecker applied for a premises licence for the site earlier this month, which is currently out for consultation.
The new restaurant marks continued expansion for Bleecker Burger, which was founded by New York native Zan Kaufman in 2012.
In August last year the group opened a restaurant on Tooley Street near London Bridge, its first new restaurant in five years.
It has subsequently opened a kiosk within KERB’s Seven Dials Market and another bricks and mortar restaurant on Baker Street, bringing its estate to 10 sites in total including four full-service restaurants, three concessions, and three delivery-only kitchens.
The Soho launch comes despite Kaufman recently telling Restaurant that she wasn’t planning anymore openings following Bleecker’s recent growth spurt.
“We’re out of money so the growth spurt ends now for a while,” she said in April.
“For at least a year we’re going to focus on making sure these new sites work the way we want them to, while still building foundations in the business.”
However, Kaufman added that there was appetite for further sites in the future.
“Longer term I don’t want to exit; I’m not doing this to sell,” she continued.
“I really enjoy what I’m doing, I’m really present in that, and I want more.
“There’s space for us potentially outside of London, I just don’t know when and what that looks like. And outside of the UK, maybe one day.
“We went to Paris and checked out its burgers… it seems like it could use a Bleecker out there.”
Neat, the vegan QSR brand backed by Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, confirmed the closure of its remaining London restaurants, including its Soho outpost, last month.
