Trivet founders chef Jonny Lake and sommelier Isa Bal will launch a second London site later this year following a partnership with Mayfair hotel COMO Metropolitan London.

Labombe by Trivet will have its own dedicated entrance on Old Park Lane and is billed as a wine-forward restaurant that is an evolution of the original Trivet’s bar, which is also called Labombe.

Menu details are limited, but dishes will be designed around the grill with a small number of signatures borrowed from the pair’s two Michelin-starred London Bridge flagship, while the wine list will focus on an ‘essential’ by-the-glass selection.

Both alumni of The Fat Duck, the back and front of house duo launched Trivet on Snowsfields - a tucked away street in the shadow of London Bridge station - in 2019.

Trivet won a Michelin star in 2022 and was awarded a second in 2024.

The restaurant is currently featured on Restaurant’s list of the top 100 places to eat in the UK.

“We are very excited to bring to life the full restaurant version of Labombe, particularly to such an iconic London location. We very much look forward to working with the team from Como Metropolitan London as we embark on this new adventure,” Lake and Bal say.

Rory Slater, managing director of COMO Metropolitan London, added: “COMO Group has an exceptional track record of collaborating with celebrated chefs, and we are thrilled that COMO Metropolitan London is partnering with Trivet. Labombe by Trivet promises to bring an exciting and distinctive experience to Mayfair through its unique and exemplary culinary offering.”
