The Chickpea Group will open its eighth pub with rooms in the county of Dorset this Summer.

Dating back to the 17th century, The Fleur de Lys Inn is situated in the village of Cranborne and will be the group’s first pub with rooms in the county.

The pub will have space for around 80 covers, including a private dining room which can accommodate up to 12 guests, with a further 100 covers outside in a walled garden to the rear of the pub.

The main bar will feature exposed beams, an open fire and banquette seating and the venue will also be home to nine double bedrooms.

As with the group’s existing sites, the food offer will be of hearty pub dishes and will including double smash burgers, handmade pies and fish and chips, alongside Nole pizzas and an selection of bar snacks and delicious puddings.

The wine list will be provided by Gardner and Beedle, with beers and ales from Rude Giant and other local breweries in the Dorset area.

“The Fleur de Lys is a lovely boozer in a pretty and thriving village and we’re very pleased to be re-opening it for the community and for visitors from further afield,” says Ethan Davids, Chickpea Group co-founder

“It offers everything we look for in a Chickpea country pub - exposed beams, low ceilings, a number of fireplaces and quintessentially British charm.”

The Wiltshire-based pub group already operates Dorset pub the King’s Arms in Shaftesbury, which opened late last year.

The Fleur de Lys Inn will open in July.
