The new West End restaurant represents the next chapter in the Skewd journey, according to founder executive chef Maz Demir, and will be located at 1 Leicester Square within Horizons Casino.
Joining Skewd’s restaurants in Cockfosters and The Grove hotel in Hertfordshire, as well as its Firedog by Skewd venue, also in Cockfosters, the new Leicester Square outpost is described as the brand’s most ambitious project yet and will feature an open fire mangal, a striking graffiti wall by renowned artist Mr Lee, and a private dining room seating up to 12 guests.
Its menu celebrates the culinary traditions of Anatolia with standout dishes that will include the wagyu adana, a premium interpretation of the classic kebab, and ali nazik, a traditional Anatolian of smoky aubergine purée topped with grilled lamb, finished with house-made chilli oil and fresh herbs.
In a first for the casino, Skewd will introduce a breakfast offer that will extend from morning through afternoon. Highlights will include merguez on hung yoghurt with sumac; hellim with fire-roasted tomatoes; homemade corned beef; and shallow-fried seasonal vegetables topped with burnt butter and pepper purée.
Other dishes will include a filo pastry with aged feta; lor cheese with berry coulis; seasonal fruits; and a Mediterranean cheese selection, all accompanied by breakfast pide and a selection of traditional breads including poğaça, simit, and pisi.
Skewd will also serve a special snacking menu designed specifically for Horizons’ gaming patrons.
“Bringing Skewd to Leicester Square in partnership with Horizons marks our most exciting venture yet,” says Demir. “This isn’t just about serving Anatolian cuisine — it’s about creating a bold new dining destination in the heart of London’s West End.
“We take great pride in our heritage, where cooking over open fire is more than just a method — it’s an essential ingredient. Fire brings people together, and food, when prepared with creativity and served with honesty, creates lasting memories. That is the essence of our philosophy.”
Skewd Leicester Square will open its doors on 20 June.
