Steakhouse group Goodman is to close its Canary Wharf site after nearly 15 years.

The restaurant, which is located on South Quay Square, will have its last service on 29 June, the group has announced.

Goodman Canary Wharf opened in November 2011 and was the third steakhouse in the group, joining its restaurants in Mayfair and the City - both of which will remain open. It is the only restaurant in the group to offer a Sunday roast.

Writing on Instagram the group said that the decision to close had been tough but that it was looking to open a new location.

“After nearly 15 incredible years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our Goodman Canary Wharf location,” it says.

“This wasn’t easy. The challenges we’ve faced since the pandemic have made it tough to keep things going, despite our team’s best efforts and your continued support.

“The good news? This isn’t goodbye forever. We’re actively looking for a new location and can’t wait to welcome you back when the time is right.”
