The Harts Group-owned brand, which operates four sites in the capital, has appointed boutique property consultancy Stärka to acquire a high-profile site in Manchester City centre that’s between 2,500 and 4,000sq ft.
“El Pastor is without doubt one of the most authentic and exciting Mexican restaurants in the UK,” says David Bell, co-founder of Stärka.
“Drawing crowds far and wide, the tacos are next level, tortillas on point and of course the tequila is an absolute must!
“The food and beverage market in Manchester is on fire, and here at Stärka we love nothing else than bringing the very best dining experiences to the city.”
The first El Pastor opened on London Bridge’s Stoney Street in 2016 and was followed by Casa Pastor Coal Drops Yard in 2018, El Pastor Soho in 2021, and El Pastor Battersea last year.
Harts Group’s portfolio, which is currently based entirely in the capital, also includes tapas restaurant brand Barrafina; two-strong al fresco grill restaurant Parrillan; and Soho’s Quo Vadis.
The Manchester restaurant scene has gone from strength to strength over the past decade and in recent years has welcomed several high-profile London brands including Blacklock, Caravan and Big Mamma.
Restaurant recently teamed up with events booking platform Tripleseat to host a roundtable that reflected on the challenges and opportunities facing Manchester’s hospitality scene. To read about the discussion, click the link here.
