The closure means that the group now operates just one restaurant, in Lichfield, which it opened in 2022.
Announcing the news on social media, Patty Freaks said the lease at the property had come to an end and thanked it staff, local businesses and friends and asked its customers to support the town’s local businesses.
It wrote on Facebook: “Our lease at the old Molloy’s property has come to an end, we would like to thank the owners of the Gracechurch Centre for their support and work on promoting small local businesses into their retail spaces.
“It was a privilege to be able to take on such a historic site and attempt to fill the boots of some of the huge brands that have come before us.
“We’re moving back to drive more on the pop-up side of the business and going back to the street food roots.
The 75-cover restaurant was located in a basement of a former pub and served Patty Freak’s range of burgers, fried chicken, and loaded skin-on fries.
Patty Freaks was founded in 2018 by Pete Hargreaves and Allan Blewitt, combining a menu of smash burgers with music and retro games.
The duo started selling burgers from a catering van in a layby before bringing them to local food festivals and street food events including Digbeth Dining Club.
The pair opened their debut restaurant in Lichfield in 2022, which still operates.
