Opening in Marylebone in August, it will join the brand’s debut London venture, which opened in Soho last October having been announced by Restaurant in June, and will be close to fellow smash burger brand Supernova’s second outpost.
A larger site than the original with 40 covers in total, the new Junk will open on St Christopher’s Place, serving up the same minimalist menu centred on the classic smash burger. Options will range from two to five patties of the classic cheeseburger served with American cheese and house made Junk sauce, the truffle double cheeseburger with house fried onions and homemade truffle sauce, and the crispy veggie burger.
Sides will include panko chicken bites and fries and a selection of freshly baked cookies from Parisian brand Puffy - which opened its first London location this summer.

Founded in Paris by Majed Mansour and Wissem Ben Ammar in 2021, the Junk Group operates locations across the French capital as well as Lyon, Strasbourg, Lille, Bordeaux, and Toulouse.
It is one of a number of new smash burger brands to hit the market, including fellow Paris brand Dumbo, which made its UK debut in Shoreditch in June. Founded in 2019 by Charles Ganem and Samuel Nataf, Dumbo claims to have pioneered the smash burger in Europe.
In April it was revealed that BVC Hospitality, the operator behind Supernova, which launched its first site on Peter Street in Soho in September 2023, was opening a second site for the smash burger concept in Marylebone.
The group will take over a site on North Audley Street for its second Supernova in the capital later this year.
This week smash burger brand Patty Freaks closed its Sutton Coldfield site.
