The new opening will be Nell’s biggest site to date and will see an evolution of the concept that combines the restaurant with elements of competitive socialising.
This will include private karaoke booths and shuffleboard tables.
“The venue is huge which has given us the chance to really play with the experience,” says Jonny Heyes, who co-founded Nell’s with his wife Charlotte back in 2020.
“This idea of karaoke and shuffleboard accompanying our made-for-sharing pizzas and great cocktails feels like a natural next step for us as a brand.”
Nell’s majors in New York-style pizza available to order as 14″ and 22″ pies, as well as by the slice.
The dough is made from British organic flour sourced from Shipton Mill and slow fermented over 36 hours.
Signature toppings include the OG Cheese featuring house tomato sauce and mozzarella, finished with olive oil and parmesan; and the Barbie & ‘Ken with shredded mozzarella, smoked Lancashire cheese, smoky maple barbecue sauce, barbecue chicken, roast peppers, red onion, pickled chillies and chives.
Jonny and Charlotte originally launched Nell’s out of their long-running bar Common in Manchester’s Northern Quarter during the pandemic.
They subsequently established a residency at The Beagle in Chorlton before launching dedicated bricks and mortar restaurants in the Kampus neighbourhood near Manchester Piccadilly in 2022 and in Altrincham last year.
