London café and bakery group FINK’s has launched a large, multi-faceted venture in Stoke Newington’s Clissold Park.

Occupying three distinct spaces within the Grade-II listed Clissold House, the latest edition to FINK’s portfolio combines an established offering of coffee and baked goods with an á la carte breakfast and lunch menu.

The two new menus have been created by co-founder and culinary director Jess Blackstone and head chef Matilde Romeo, who has joined the business from Serpentine Gallery Cafe.

Dishes will include Clissold Rarebit, made with locally brewed 40ft Neighbourhood IPA on FINK’S sourdough; giant rosti with braised cavolo nero, poached eggs, crispy Serrano ham and sage; pumpkin scapece Tart with stracciatella, toasted almonds, and mint; and honey mustard chicken melt, served on buttered brioche toast with aged cheddar, smoky pickles, and fine leaf lettuce.

Launched in Highbury in 2014 by Blackstone and Mat Appleton, FINK’s now operates a total of five venues in north London including neighbourhood restaurant Saltine.

“This is such an exciting new chapter for us and our team,” the founders say. “Clissold Park has been a home from home for us and it feels almost surreal that we’re in the House and we’ve transformed it into a FINK’S haven of colour and deliciousness from the second you step through the double doors. We hope everyone will celebrate with us with a glass of wine, coffee, pastry, Rarebit or whatever they fancy in hand!’’

FINK’S is billed as a proudly owned and run queer business, with a high percentage of LGBTQ+ staff.
