Nokz Majozi has announced her departure from Rosewood London hotel after 11 years.

Majozi was head pie maker at the Holborn-based hotel’s The Pie room, a position that she has held for the past three years.

Announcing the move on Instagram, she says: “It’s been an incredible journey at Rosewood London over the past eleven years.

“I’ve had the privilege of leading our Pie Room team and working with exceptional colleagues who share a passion for culinary excellence.

“I’m particularly proud of mentoring chefs like Laszlo Kiss, and I’m confident The Pie Room will continue to thrive. Rosewood London will always remain special to me, and I look forward to seeing the legacy continue.”

The South Africa born chef previously worked at Disney World in Florida before moving to London in 2002. She worked at the Intercontinental and Landmark hotels before joining Rosewood London’s Holborn Dining Room under chef Calum Franklin in 2014.

She went on to work with Franklin at the Pie Room, which opened next door to the restaurant in 2018, before taking over as head pie maker in 2022.
