Thesleff Group will take its Mexican-Japanese restaurant concept Los Mochis transatlantic in 2027 with a 12,103 sq ft site at the upcoming 17.5-acre Los Angeles development One Beverly Hills.

Brokered by real estate company Newmark and in partnership with investment firm Cain International, the opening will mark Thesleff Group’s international debut.

Set within the 10 acres of botanical gardens and open space, the site will offer guests a dining experience “immersed in nature, reinforcing One Beverly Hills’ vision of blending world-class hospitality with a uniquely Californian landscape”.

“This is a defining moment for our group,” says Markus Thesleff, founder and CEO of Thesleff Group. “To open our first US site as part of one of the most talked-about developments in the country is both a privilege and a major opportunity. We’re thrilled to be working alongside Cain and Newmark to bring this vision to life.”

Brent Habeck, executive vice president of commercial leasing at Cain International, says: “One Beverly Hills is a once-in-a-lifetime project, thoughtfully designed to bring world-class offerings into a botanical setting unlike anything else in Los Angeles. Los Mochis is an ideal addition and embodies the distinctive experiences that One Beverly Hills will provide to residents, the local community, and visitors from around the globe.”

Thesleff made his name as a restaurateur in the Middle East with brands including OKKU and Claw.

In 2021 he opened Los Mochis in Notting Hill, marking his UK debut. A second, much larger Los Mochis launched in the City last year.

Thesleff Group also operates Knightsbridge Italian restaurant Sale e Pepe, Notting Hill cocktail bar Viajante87, and Japanese omakase restaurants Juno and Luna, which trade from within Los Mochis Notting Hill and Los Mochis London City respectively.
