The initiative follows the success of the now national food education charity’s Sussex Showcase collaboration series, which paired leading chefs from the county with top cooking talent from across the UK.
Further dates are set to be announced shortly, with participating chefs including Row on Five’s Spencer Metzger, Coworth Park’s Adam Smith, and Hide’s Josh Angus.
Held at Islam’s two Michelin-starred Birmingham flagship, the inaugural event will offer guests an exclusive eight-course collaborative tasting menu with snacks.
The dishes will showcase the creative talents of both Islam and Delport, reflecting their “shared passion for bold, innovative and progressive flavours”.
“It’s an absolute pleasure to cook alongside our good friend Jean for the evening. I’m looking forward to bringing our styles together for this special event in support of the Prept. Foundation, helping to inspire the next generation of chefs,” Islam says.
The National Restaurant Awards’ charity partner, the Prept. Foundation was founded by Jessica Aggarwal and Dan Wade and is dedicated to inspiring young people to explore cooking through hands-on food education programmes.
