Pasta restaurant Bancone will open its fifth site in the capital next year.

The group, which operates four sites across central London, has chosen the City for its latest venture, with Bancone Bank set to open next spring.

The 170-restaurant will have a bar area as well as a 35-cover PDR downstairs.

The menu will be overseen by executive chef Ben Waugh, and will feature the brand’s signature pasta dishes - including its silk handkerchiefs with walnut butter and confit egg yolk; spicy pork and nduja ragù with tagliatelle; and cacio e pepe - alongside some new dishes.

Bancone is part of the burgeoning pasta restaurant sector in the UK, opening its first restaurant in 2018 with a site on William IV Street in Covent Garden. This was followed by restaurants in Soho’s Golden Square and Borough Yards.

The group opened its latest restaurant in Kensington earlier this year.

“Opening in the City of London is any restaurateur’s dream,” says co-founder Will Ellner.

“I’m thrilled we have such an incredible location and such a strong offering in place.

“It will be fantastic to be able to bring Bancone to such a big audience across the City.”

Bancone reported a revenue of £12.5m for 2025’s financial year with an EBITDA of £2m.
