London-based hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co. has revealed the F&B offering for its debut project.

Set to open in Fitzrovia early next year, The Newman hotel will feature a European all-day restaurant and an “intimate” subterranean bar.

Brasserie Angelica will be a contemporary brasserie serving classic comfort dishes and “delivering the energy of a bustling neighbourhood institution”.

Northern European influences will be found across the menu, with techniques such as curing and smoking used to “add a lightness of touch to the more familiar dishes”.

The restaurant will seat 76 covers in a spacious dining room filled with natural light, plus an additional 24 covers in a separate bar space and a street-side terrace for alfresco dining.

Brasserie Angelica will open from breakfast through to late evening seven days a week, and will feature a sandwich trolley at lunchtimes.

Gambit Bar, meanwhile, will offer “creative yet understated” drinks made using “the highest quality ingredients and innovative techniques”. Guests will also be able to choose from a succinct menu of bar snacks.

London-based studio Lind + Almond has led the design of the Newman Street hotel, including Brasserie Angelica and Gambit Bar. The studio has taken inspiration from the rich history of the surrounding area, referencing the Victorian and Art Deco styles seen throughout Fitzrovia.

Kinsfolk & Co. was founded in 2023 by Paul Brackley, the former general manager and director of Shangri-La Group’s flagship London hotel at The Shard.

His CV also includes Mayfair hotel The Beaumont, Taj Hotels Palaces & Resorts, and InterContinental Hotels Group.

According to the company’s website, it is currently working with Jeremy King Restaurants in an advisory capacity.
