The White Horse launched in a former pub within Mayfair’s Shepherd Market during the pandemic as a “little sister” to HIDE and Hedonism Wine & Spirits.
“We are sad to be in this situation. For me personally, The White Horse has been a true passion project, exploring the world of wine in a more casual setting than we always have the ability to do at HIDE and Hedonism,” says Matthew Mawtus, the director of F&B for owner Hedonism Group.
“It’s brought with it a fresh audience of regular guests, and I’m looking forward to what’s next and finding new ways we can continue with this ambition.”
Over the next two weeks, The White Horse will be welcoming guests for a final festive glass, with several bin end bottles available as they clear out the cellars.
Select items of the wine bar’s striking interiors, including one-of-a-kind antiques and vintage finds, hand-selected by Hedonism Group co-founder and interior designer, Tatiana Fokina, will be for sale by enquiry.
The White Horse closes on 19 December.
The group says it is in discussions for new projects for 2026.
Launched in 2018 by Fokina and Evgeny Chichvarkin, HIDE is London’s largest and most busy Michelin-starred restaurant serving up to 700 guests a day.
