The Nero Group, the cafe brand’s parent company, has reported a sales growth of 9% to £338 between June and November 2025.
The UK business achieved record sales of £185.4m, up 7%, with like-for-like sales growing by 5%.
Like-for-like sales were also strong in the group’s other markets, including Turkey (8%) and Sweden (11%).
The Nero Group opened 26 new stores during the period and currently operates more than 1,100 sites across 11 countries, including 632 in the UK.
Caffè Nero UK says it experienced significant success from its iced drinks menu during the summer and through the autumn. It reported a 50% increase in iced drinks sales, with matcha was responsible for 85% of the increase.
Its new pistachio croissant was also a success in the UK, with the business selling 500,000 of them in the past three months.
“Our first half was very strong. We had record sales at the group level and record sales at Caffè Nero UK. This marks two years of continuous sales records,” says Caffè Nero founder and group CEO Gerry Ford.
“At a time when many coffee businesses are struggling, our success is a reflection of the hard work and outstanding service from our store teams and the significant momentum we have built up through menu innovation.
“It’s been particularly encouraging that we are not only growing sales, but we are also growing our customer base.”
