The brand, which was created by YouTube stars The Sidemen, will make its Scottish debut in the first half of next year with a site at the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow with another restaurant at Livingston Designer Outlet set to follow close behind.
The openings represent a continued international push by the brand, which earlier this year opened a site with Bugis+, a 10-storey shopping mall in the Bugis district of Singapore.
“We have a great brand, a great product and we are ready to deliver new growth, starting in Scotland,” says managing director Aaron Moore-Saxton.
“Expanding our footprint into Scotland has been a huge ambition and we are thrilled to bring our unique hot-chicken experience to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Livingston, as we meet our ambition of owning the hot chicken category in the UK.”
Sides launched in 2021 as part of Virtual Hero Group, a subsidiary of Hero Brands, and has aims to become the fastest growing hot chicken brand in the UK.
It serves a menu that includes signature chicken wings, burgers and tenders alongside loaded waffle fries, chilli poppers, and mac and cheese bites.
