Marjorie’s
Taking inspiration from the many ‘bar à vins’ of Paris’ outer arrondissements, Marjorie’s is a two-floor restaurant and wine bar located off Carnaby Street on Foubert’s Place. The venture takes its name from the late grandmother of one of the founders and has been designed to be ‘the missing slice of Paris in central London’. Expect an eclectic list of carefully chosen Gallic wines and a light menu that pays homage to traditional French cooking.
Brother Marcus
Brother Marcus launched in Balham in 2016 and today operates seven sites in the capital. Inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean, the concept does a roaring brunch trade before transitioning to sharing plates and cocktails in the evening. The brand’s recently launched Soho restaurant is located in the space that was once home to Jason Atherton’s Social Eating House and has a standalone cocktail bar called Kamara.
MOI
The first restaurant from Artem Login’s recently created MAD Restaurants group, MOI is a large multifaceted Japanese-inspired restaurant with a basement sushi kitchen and a listening bar. The Wardour Street venture sets itself apart from other Japanese restaurants with its “respectful yet non-traditional approach” - it’s run by a largely non-Japanese team and is focused on high-quality UK produce. Login is also behind Soho restaurant ALTA.
