Cult Manchester burger brand is set to open its first dine-in restaurant with a site in the Piccadilly Gardens area of the city.

The brand, which currently operates a number of takeaway sites across the city, will open the restaurant on 11 February.

Founded in Salford, Greater Manchester, by Mark Murphy in 2018, Burgerism has grown a loyal following and currently operates takeaway sites in Salford, Denton, Gatley and a concession at Manchester food hall Freight Island.

It is known for its food offer that includes stacked hamburgers and cheeseburgers as well as a range of chicken and vegan burgers, skin-on-fries and wings and dessert brownies.

As well as site in Manchester, the brand is also reportedly looking at Leeds for future expansion.

It recently applied to move into a site in the Meandwood area of the city, according to Yorkshire Evening Post, for a takeaway venue.

Burgerism has been granted change of use permission at the former Papa John’s pizza site to allow it to serve burgers.
