The backing from Volaris Group “creates opportunities to accelerate Zonal’s next-generation software, while maintaining Zonal as an autonomous and independent subsidiary of the group”.
Zonal provides technology to more than 17,000 UK hospitality businesses, ranging from independent operators to major brands including Greene King, Mitchells & Butlers and Pizza Express.
Working with more than 200 integration and third-party application partners, Zonal helps customers streamline operations, maximise profits and enhance the guest experience.
Volaris is described as a strategic, long-term technology investor operating a “buy-and-keep” philosophy, meaning it is a committed owner dedicated to Zonal’s long-term success.
The acquisition will see Zonal CEO and shareholder Stuart McLean step down from the business.
