Liverpool’s Albert’s Schenke is shrugging off its Bavarian feel and is set to reopen this spring as Schiller’s Hall following a refresh of the space, menu and overall concept.

Located on Hanover Street, the refurbished 5,000sq ft venue will reopen as a relaxed bar offering all-day Continental dining and drinking.

The new menu will move away from Albert’s Schenke’s existing Alpine offer and will include the introduction of weekend breakfasts and Sunday roasts, alongside a selection of small plates, mains and lunchtime sandwiches.

Menu items will include steak frites, Schiller’s hot honey twice-fried chicken burger, rigatoni salsa rosa and prawn crumpet with spring onion and sweet chilli.

Drinks will include wines, European beers and cocktails, including the Salon Rogue Raspberry Mojito; Bohemian Electric Amaretto Bourbon Sour, and Strawberry Limoncello Spritz, alongside a line-up of classics.

Taking inspiration from historic European cafés and Bohemian halls, the hall will accommodate 170 covers.

Schiller’s Hall is part of hospitality group Mission Mars, the team behind Albert’s Schloss, Albert Hall and Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizzeria.

Albert’s Schenke has traded since 2020 and will close its doors after service on Saturday 28 February to prepare for its transformation.

To mark the reopening, guests will have the chance to win one of twenty £100 bar tabs, with sign-ups available online.
