Glasgow-based restaurant Sugo Pasta has opened the doors to its second restaurant.

The new 160-cover restaurant has opened on a former Zizzi on Cresswell Lane in Glasgow, marking the group’s second restaurant in the city.

It serves Sugo’s classic menu of 10 pasta dishes, inspired by regions across Italy, as well as some specials exclusive to the restaurant.

“This opening represents an important milestone in Sugo’s journey. “says Tony Conetta, director at brand owner DRG, which also operates restaurant brands Cadiz, Atlantic Brasserie, Café Andaluz, The Citizen, Barolo, Amarone and Di Maggio’s across Scotland and Newcastle.

“What started as a single restaurant with a very clear vision, to serve exceptional fresh pasta, has grown into something much bigger, thanks to the support of Glasgow.

“The West End is vibrant and proudly independent, so it was important that this restaurant felt authentic to both the area and our brand. We’re proud to be continuing to invest in the city’s hospitality scene and excited for what this next chapter brings.”

Sugo Pasta opened on Glasgow’s Miller Street in 2019 and was acquired by DRG in 2024.
