The restaurant on Soho’s Old Compton Street is being described as London’s longest ‘pop-up’ after its then creator Ross Shonhan, who also founded the Bone Daddies ramen brand, opened in it 2015 with plans for it to last ‘three months, maybe more’.
The site will close for a short makeover before reopening as a Bone Daddies on 6 April.
The new ramen bar will have space for up to 80-covers on the ground floor restaurant space with a mix of counter seats, low dining tables and group sharing booths. There will also be window bar at the front of the restaurant.
Interiors-wise, the site will revert to Bone Daddies’ signature aesthetic of exposed brick walls and red neon lighting.
The legend of Shackfuyu will however live on, with its signature matcha French toast dessert and matcha soft serve on the menu and across all Bone Daddies’ ramen bars from next month.
