Founded by Hannah Drye, Dough Hands has built a strong reputation in the capital for its New York-style pizzas that are available at the Spurstowe Arms pub in Dalston and also south of river at The Old Nun’s Head in Nunhead, a residency which comes to a close at the end of this month.
Now Drye has doubled down on East London with a permanent space at All My Friends in Hackney Wick, which opens today (7 April).
Dough Hands has taken over the kitchen in the Shipping Container serving a menu that includes pizza served by the slice for the first time as well as whole 20-inch pies.
Pizzas on the menu include tomato pie with anchovy, stracciatella and green sauce; garlic sausage and pistachio pesto; harissa aubergine and salted ricotta; coppa, pineapple and house guindilla; and tequila sauce and sausage.
“We’re very excited to step into the slice game, it also gives us a chance to expand the menu which means working on throwing some fun new toppings together,” says Drye.
“I also love All My Friends as a venue, I’ve had some really fun nights there, and it’s an unreal summer spot which is perfect timing.”
