The brand, which operates 20 sites in the UK, mostly in London, says it wants to build on 2025, which was its strongest year to date. It will open its first UK restaurant of 2026 at Westfield Stratford City, the group’s first food court location in the UK.
International managing director Anat Davidzon described the UK as a ‘standout’ market for the brand and said that other European markets, including France and Germany, were also a target.
“The opening in Stratford will be the first of 2026, and then we have a couple more already lined up this year,” she said. “We had a really positive 2025 and are looking to grow the brand more in London following that.”
Davidzon added that the company would be looking at sites ‘with high street visibility’ and that central London locations with dense foot traffic were the key targets.
Chipotle was founded in 1993 and operates more than 4,000 restaurants across world, with most of them in the US.
