Called The Tallyman - taking its name from a trusted figure on the historic docks who connected workers, ship owners, and customs officials - it will be located in a prominent position on Chancellor Passage in Canary Wharf.
Its menu will be rooted in the traditions of London pubs, celebrating British ingredients. Diners can expect familiar pub favourites such as pies, steak and chips, kebabs, and shellfish.
The new venture will mark 20 years of the group.
“As we approach our 20th anniversary, we’re so excited to open the doors to our new venture,” says the group’s co-founder Anthony Pender.
“Canary Wharf is transforming into a mixed-use and residential neighbourhood, and we felt it deserved a proper community pub at its heart as the area continues to grow and thrive.
The name The Tallyman comes from a place of trust and integrity, and that spirit runs through everything we’re creating here - an authentic East End pub inspired by the dockland history, with the warmth, honesty and character you’d expect from great pub hospitality– not just a space for a drink, but a place for all to feel a part of.”
