The 179-cover restaurant serves an all-day menu, including international cuisines from Asian street food to classic American burgers. It also offers a takeaway service, Giraffe Stop, with a dedicated grab and go area allowing passengers to pick up food and snacks to take on board their flight.
The launch is part of TRGC’s ongoing partnership with Giraffe owner Boparan Restaurant Group and is the seventh UK airport site in the group’s portfolio, joining Birmingham Airport, Gatwick Airport South Terminal, Heathrow Airport T3 Airside, Heathrow Airport T5 Airside, Manchester Airport, and Manchester Airport T2.
It is the sixth site opened in partnership between TRGC and Boparan.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with Giraffe on our sixth site together and to be bringing the first experience of this beloved casual dining brand to Edinburgh Airport,” says Jonathan Knight, CEO of TRGC.
“We know that passengers are increasingly seeking more than just convenience before they fly and this opening reflects our shared ambition to deliver standout, high-quality dining concepts that enhance the airport experience.”
Stephanie Wear, chief commercial officer at Edinburgh Airport, adds: “We know people are hungry to travel and we want to cater for that. Bringing Giraffe to the airport adds to the strong family offer of food and drink options we have for passengers.
“With both a full-service restaurant and a convenient takeaway option, it gives passengers international cuisine with flexibility and choice – and full stomachs before heading off on that well-earned break.”
