Food hall operator Blend Family is expanding its UK footprint with a site in London’s Elephant & Castle.

Located within the mixed-use development in the heart of Elephant & Castle, Elephant Exchange food hall will form part of the area’s continued regeneration and growth.

Set to open in 2026, it will bring together a mix of independent traders alongside a central bar and coffee shop.

Blend Family is an independent hospitality business founded and run by a husband-and-wife team and operating food halls including Cutlery Works and Cambridge Street Collective in Sheffield, Kargo MKT in Salford Quays, Tower Bridge Collective in London, and Alfred Works in Digbeth, Birmingham.

This is an opportunity to become part of a growing network that champions diversity, creativity, quality, and community while helping shape one of London’s most exciting new food destinations,” says co-founder Matt Bigland.

“At Blend Family, we don’t just provide a space; we work alongside our Food Partners to develop strong, individual brands that can thrive both within our sites and beyond.”

Blend Family is now welcoming interest from independent food businesses ‘with a strong sense of identity, ambition, and a clear culinary vision’ to join the project.
