The restaurant, thought to be located within the former Club Gascon site in Smithfield, will serve British and Irish food and will be run by Tom Hill, Clare Lattin and Camille head chef Elliot Hashtroudi.
It is described as taking strong influence from Hashtroudi’s grandmother and ‘will delve into old regional British and Irish cooking using ingredients from the Isles’, according to a post on social media.
Due to open in late autumn, the restaurant will also celebrate Victorian tradition and regional cuisine, which will be at the forefront of the new project.
The Farringdon site will mark a return to the area for Hashtroudi, who spent time at St John restaurant.
Hill and Lattin launched Camille in Borough Market in early 2024 and the restaurant has won acclaim for its hearty regional French cooking. It is currently ranked number 20 in the UK’s Top 100 Restaurants list.
The social media post adds: “We can’t wait to open the doors and celebrate the wonderful history of British and Irish cooking.”
