Established in 1986 and acquired by Freixenet Copestick in 2020, the purchase marks a new chapter for Jascots. Through its UK subsidiary, CDGH UK, Compagnia del Gusto Holding will assume responsibility for the administrative and sales teams, together with all associated commercial assets.
This acquisition gives Compagnia del Gusto Holding control of Jascots’ distribution network and direct access to a key export market for Italian food and wine. CDGH says it plans to leverage the network to bring its Italian wine and food portfolio to the UK market.
“This acquisition is an exciting milestone for Jascots that reflects our ambition to keep investing in our business, our customers, and our future - something that’s exciting for both myself and the team to be part of,” says Omar Raafat, head of Jascots.
“I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundations already in place and writing the next chapter together.”
Ettore Nicoletto, CEO of CDGH adds: “The acquisition of Jascots is a key milestone in our international growth strategy. The UK is a strategic market for premium Italian wines and with Jascots we gain a solid distribution platform, an experienced team and deep expertise in the On-Trade.
“We look forward to bringing the best of our Italian portfolio to such a prestigious customer base.”
