Luxury dessert and brunch brand Haute Dolci is opening a site in Reading later this month.

Launching at The Oracle shopping centre on 22 August, it will be Haute Dolci’s 21st UK store, along with its two Dolci Mono Kiosk stores in Birmingham and London’s Brent Cross.

The Reading site will offer options such as its viral Matilda Cake - a five-layered chocolate cake inspired by a scene in the film of Roald Dahl’s Matilda - as well as its signature San Sebastián cheesecake. It will also offer an all-day brunch menu and its newly launched signature dessert and patisserie range.

“Reading has been on our map for some time, and The Oracle is precisely where Haute Dolci belongs: at the heart of the town, on the water, among the best the Thames Valley has to offer,” says Nizam Mohamed, CEO of Haute Dolci.

“We built this brand on a simple conviction, that dessert deserves the same care, theatre and craft as fine dining, and Reading will experience that in full. We look forward to opening our doors and setting a new standard for indulgence in the town.”

Haute Dolci was founded by Mohamed in 2017 and operates sites across the country as well as well as two international venues in Kuwait and Pakistan.

It launched its first compact Dolci Mono kiosk at Birmingham’s Bullring in late 2025 followed by a second at Brent Cross Shopping Centre that opened last month.

Mohammed is also founder of Heavenly Desserts, which opened its first restaurant in Birmingham in 2008. Mohammed recently sold the brand rights for Heavenly Desserts and rebranded two Heavenly Desserts sites to Haute Dolci restaurants as part of the deal.
