Rapper Professor Green is expanding his fast food brand Proper Good to London following the launch of its first location in Glasgow earlier this year.

The concept, founded by Green - real name Stephen Paul Manderson - in partnership with Hero Brands, will launch on Soho Street next month, marking the next stage in its growth ambitions.

The musician has previously said Proper Good is designed to ‘disrupt the fast food market’.

Its menu offers diners the option of customisable dishes including South Korean-inspired UFO brioche hot rolls, loaded salads, and loaded rice boxes.

“Bringing Proper Good to London is a proud moment for me,” says Professor Green. “I grew up here and it’s this community that shaped me. And, like in music, creativity comes from the world around you – from different people, cultures and influences colliding.

“That’s what I love about Proper Good. It’s bringing that same mindset to food and drink and is building something fresh for today’s high street.” Rebecca Tye, managing director of Proper Good, adds that London has always been a key market for Proper Good.

“Soho Street is the perfect location for our next stage of growth. “We created Proper Group because people still want food served fast, but expectations around food continue to change. “Consumers are looking for more creativity, more choice and better quality ingredients and that’s exactly what we’re bringing to the high street.”
