Dumpling Xi, which operates more than 900 restaurants worldwide as well as in 40 Chinese cities, is taking over the former The Theatre Café Diner on Shaftesbury Avenue.
The brand is known for its dumplings, that are made fresh on site daily, and which come in a variety of fillings, including prawn and chive; pork and celery, and curry chicken.
Dumpling Xi opened in the city of Hegang in China in 2002 and has since expanded into international territories including the US, where it operates a site in New York, Korea and Spain, with a site in Barcelona.
