Seasonal food to go concept Bewliehill has ceased trading, shuttering its two remaining London sites in Bishopsgate and St Paul’s.

The group, launched by Angus Lambert in 2022, has entered administration according to a filing in The London Gazette on 9 October. Matthew Richards and Robert Anthony Young of Azets were appointed as joint administrators on 2 October.

Announcing the group’s closure on Instagram, Lambert said: “I am incredibly sad and disappointed to have to share this message with you all. Yesterday was our last day serving you your favourite bowls. Almost exactly five years after our journey began, it now comes to an end.

“Growing a business right now is incredibly difficult, particularly in hospitality. The reasons for our struggles have been well reported over the past 12 months - the same pressures so many of us are facing at the moment.

“There are still plenty of great businesses out there creating unique food and drink; I urge you to keep supporting your favourite spots as it really will make a difference and might help ensure their survival.

“I’d like to take this moment to say thank you to all the team who’ve made Bewliehill what it was. Bringing to life an idea as simple as serving seasonal food to as many people as possible takes an incredible amount of thought, effort, collaboration, passion and resilience. So to all of you who gave up so much of your time to help create the version of this vision that Bewliehill became - thank you. “
